Product Review: Dr Lipp Original Nipple Balm For Lips

For as long as I can remember, even as a kid, dry, chapped lips have been a big problem for me, and I think I have been searching for the perfect lip balm for the whole of my teens and my adult life so far. I'd heard that nipple balm was supposed to be great for chapped lips, but until Dr. Lipp came out with their Original Nipple Balm for chapped lips, and I read about it on several of my favourite beauty blogs from both sides of the pond, did I consider trying it. I added it to my wish list, and when I spied it by the checkout in Sephora when I was buying concealer and body butter, I flung it into my basket to finally give it a try.
Dr Lipp Original Nipple Balm For Lips: £11.50 / $14.50

I think I now understand what all the fuss is about. This is a really, really good lip balm that also doubles as a lip gloss, it soothes chapped lips and keeps them soft and supple. It is also supposed to make a really good primer for lipstick, but I have not tried it out like that yet. I have a lot of problems with dry, chapped lips, and this has really helped. I don't think any lip balm will be perfect (I've run out of lip exfoliant, that in itself is a problem), but while I still want to try what else is out there, I think barring discovering a wonder balm, this is the lip balm that will become my go to as it is the first one I have tried in the long time that actually does something and helps relieve chapped lips - and that is good enough for me!

Have you tried Dr Lipp yet, or do you have another wander balm you swear by?
